A research service, not a promise of clients.

1. The service

Cause Docket supplies business-to-business research about public charity reporting events. A card is an opportunity signal for the customer to assess. It is not an inbound enquiry, a guaranteed lead, legal advice, accounting advice, credit information or a statement that the organisation requires a particular service.

2. Founding reservation and pilot

The founding reservation is £49. It is credited toward the £229 total price of the 90-day pilot if both parties agree to proceed. We will refund the reservation if we cannot provide the agreed market review. If we provide the agreed review and the customer decides not to continue, the reservation pays for that review and is not otherwise refundable.

3. Pilot scope

The agreed scope records the customer’s service band, preferred charity types and exclusions. During the founding pilot, a delivered card will not knowingly be supplied to a directly competing customer for 14 days. No geographic exclusivity or minimum monthly volume applies unless it is added to the written order after initial supply has been measured.

4. Customer responsibilities

The customer must independently verify relevance before acting, apply its professional obligations, use respectful and lawful communication, and honour privacy and direct-marketing requirements. The customer must not describe a signal as an inbound lead or imply that Cause Docket or the Charity Commission recommends its services.

5. Accuracy and corrections

We take reasonable care to cite and date official sources. Public records can change and may contain errors. Forecasts and possible rule effects are labelled. Customers should report suspected errors promptly; we will check, correct or withdraw affected cards where appropriate.

6. Payment and cancellation

The pilot balance is due before recurring delivery begins. The pilot ends after 90 days unless the customer separately accepts a continuing subscription. Either party may end the pilot for serious misuse, non-payment, repeated data problems or reputational risk. Any discretionary credit or refund will be recorded in writing.

7. Liability

We do not guarantee enquiries, appointments, clients, income or regulatory outcomes. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, any total liability connected with the founding pilot is limited to the amount the customer paid for it.

8. Intellectual property and source licence

The service’s selection, ranking, checking notes and report design belong to the supplier. Underlying public-sector information remains subject to its source licence. Customers may use cards internally for their own business development but may not resell, publish or build a competing database from them.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
